Cricket Creates Summertime Smiles Play It Forward Game To Help Provide Meals To Families Facing Food Insecurity

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) estimates that as many as 30 million adults and 12 million children are living in food-insecure households. Local food pantry programs are an essential resource in combating this growing national issue. This summer, Cricket is not only joining in the fight against hunger, but we’re also making it simple—and fun—for consumers of all ages to get involved.

Introducing Summertime Smiles, a unique program designed to help provide meals to families in need across the country while also giving consumers a chance to Play It Forward—literally.

Each time someone plays the Cricket Play It Forward game, they will help to stock local pantries by earning meals for those in need in 34 markets across the country. The game  can be accessed by scanning the Summertime Smiles QR code on display at all Cricket Wireless store locations or by visiting www.cricketplayitforward.com.*

So, are you game to work together to help us spread more meals and smiles this summer? If so, you have until September 15 to play it forward.
