Cricket Wireless is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month by showcasing and supporting the resilience of small business owners in the Latino community. Starting today, we are launching the Calling All Jefes contest and giveaway with videos from three Hispanic entrepreneurs highlighting how they became a success, inspiring young Latinos to create their own path forward.
The young Latinos featured include culinary personality @ElGuzii (Guzii), who discusses how he took his business from a side gig to main hustle. We’ll also hear from comedian @vanessacsirias (Vanessa Sirias) on things she wished she knew when she got started. Hispanic street vendor philanthropist @juixxe (Jesús Morales) will also share his thoughts on mastering digital marketing. New videos will be released weekly throughout the month on each creator’s TikTok as well as on Cricket’s channels.
“The entrepreneurial spirit in the Latino community is strong, and we want to support that ambition,” said Cricket Wireless Chief Marketing Officer Tony Mokry. “This contest isn’t just about giving away things, it’s about sharing knowledge and helping this growing population of young Latino business owners.”
Aspiring entrepreneurs can enter by recording and submitting a one-minute TikTok video pitch about their business using the hashtag #JefesDelFuturo.
Three winners will each be awarded a $5,000 grant and an one-hour mentorship from a Cricket corporate employee who will provide insights, expertise and guidance to help them on their road to success. Winners will also receive a new smartphone and one year of service on Cricket’s $60/mo. Unlimited Plan1, which includes 150GB of cloud storage, 15GB mobile hotspot, plus other benefits to help their small business grow such as:

- Free ad-supported HBO Max subscription3
Three runners-up will also receive a free smartphone and one year of service on Cricket’s $60 Unlimited plan.
Video submissions should focus on their business story and what they would do with the $5,000 grant. Anyone who uploads their video on TikTok with #JefesDelFuturo between 9/15-10/15 will be entered into the contest and eligible for consideration. Click here for contest rules and regulations.
