The federal holiday celebrating the life of civil rights icon Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is a “
day on, not a day off” coined by the late Coretta Scott King. In 1983 President Ronald Reagan signed a bill into law designating the third Monday in January to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s life and in 1994, President Bill Clinton signed the
King Holiday and Service Act into law. Cricket Nation mobilizes this call to action by continuing to create meaningful connections in the communities we serve.
